Local Information

Several of our students have taken the opportunity to tag on an extra weeks holiday after their training and this gave us the idea to create this section which we hope will give you a taste of what the beautiful Renaissance city of Granada, and its surrounding area, has to offer tourists and holidaymakers.

So why not take advantage of all this area has to offer by extending your stay - some of our students rented a local apartment or villa so their wives and families could relax and enjoy themselves whilst Dad was training every day !

You will find information on local hotels on our Lodging page, but if you are planning to bring your family along for a holiday whilst you train then we would be happy to recommend other family friendly accommodation, some with their own private pool.

The training school is surrounded by miles of undulating countryside and olive groves, yet still only a few minutes drive from Granada city centre and its world famous Alhambra Palace (below).

The beaches and seaside towns of the Costa Tropical are only half an hour from here as are several beautiful lakes and places of interest - you can be in one of the mountain villages of Las Alpujarras in under 20 minutes.

There is a great choice of activities on offer locally - the training school itself is right opposite the acclaimed 'Santa Clara Golf Resort' - a challenging 18 hole course complete with Golf Shop and Club House.  In addition there is another golf club in the neighbouring village aswell as a beautiful links course, 'Los Moriscos Golf', along the beach in Salobrena, on the Costa Tropical.

The training school has amazing views across to the mountains of the Sierra Nevada, and the ski slopes are only 40 minutes drive away. If you are training in Winter or Spring why not tag on a few days at the end of your course for some ski-ing ?   Check out the current ski conditions here.

Spend a morning wandering around the old streets of the Albaicin and the Moroccan quarter, then an afternoon relaxing in the original Arab Baths...
